Take care of the woman before she puts on the gloves.
A wellness and lifestyle community for women in healthcare who are ready to choose themselves, too.
“Your profession is part of your identity. It does not have to become your entire identity.
Our philosophy
The art of choosing yourself.
You spent years learning how to care for everyone else. Gains Before Gloves is for the woman who loves her work and still wants a life that belongs to her.
- Caring for others should not require abandoning yourself.
- Rest does not need to be earned through burnout.
- You can love healthcare and still want more for your life.
- Success should include the woman experiencing it.

Meet the founder
Why Raven started Gains Before Gloves.
Dr. Raven Alexander is an orthodontist in Houston, and like so many women in healthcare, she spent years learning how to take care of patients.
“Nobody taught me how easy it would be to stop taking care of myself.”
Gains Before Gloves is the community she wished existed: a place for women who give so much at work to come back to themselves through movement, real conversation, friendship, and a life outside the job.
